Resources for Students not in Schools

For those who are out of school, it can be difficult to find affordable materials and websites which are useful. Generally speaking past exam papers can be downloaded for free at many website, and mark schemes/ maths solutions are generally easy to find.

An excellent and inexpensive site for all subjects is www.savemyexams.con. This site also has some good notes and videos to help with revision.

If you are not in school, but still registered with a school, the school will be able to help with giving the student log-ins to the school resources.

Advice about Entering Students for Exams

Exam Entries

These can be a real headache, and quite expensive for a student who is not registered with a school or college. If possible, the school or  college may still be able to enter a student for exams. Sometimes this will mean that they are registered as an 'outside student' which means that exam fees are payable. (Expect to pay well over £100 per GCSE).

Examination Officers

Each school or college will have an examination officer(s). Sometimes they will be able to give invaluable advice. Otherwise, there are some excellent organisations who can organise exams for those out of school. Please message me if you would like advice about this in the Midlands.
